Roles and Duties ofBusiness Analyst

  • To provide efficient solutions, evaluate, foresee, and pinpoint areas in which business processes need to be improved.
  • Organize process assessments, create strategies for optimization, and keep up of process and IT developments.
  • To share thoughts and findings with teams and management, have meetings and presentations.
  • Conduct a requirements analysis, document and share the results, and collect important data from stakeholders.
  • Ensure that solutions fulfill business needs by working directly with clients and employees, and mentor and lead less experienced team members.
  • To guarantee that deliverables are completed on time, manage projects, carry out user acceptability testing, and keep an eye on performance.
  • Keep procedures up to date, order projects according to business requirements, and serve as a bridge between stakeholders and users.

Minimum Qualifications forBusiness Analyst

  • A business or related field-related bachelor’s degree, or an MBA.
  • Experience in business analysis or a related discipline of at least 4 years.
  • Excellent mental and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Understanding of project management techniques like Agile or Waterfall.
  • Excellent report-writing and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook among other Microsoft programs.
  • Strong time-management, organization, and planning skills.

Preferred Skills for Business Analyst

  • High levels of critical and analytical thinking.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques and data analysis programs including Excel, Python, R, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of software for creating dashboards and data visualization, such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Knowledge of data management and data warehousing principles.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for conveying insights clearly.
