In Samlesbury, Lancashire, this position will be site-based and work on one of our defense contracts.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Access data from various systems and data sources, clean it up, and then review it.
  • Creation and ownership of reports.
  • Have the initiative in data and reporting transformation operations.
  • Examine customer data and reports in conjunction with the operational team.
  • Improve reporting to both internal and external stakeholders within P&I, shifting reporting and analytical responsibilities away from the operational teams to free them up to concentrate on delivery.
  • Make weekly reporting and period reporting more efficient, giving management access to faster, more accurate information while also offering chances for cost savings.

Experience, skills, attributes and the person:

  • Knowledge of the characteristics of data and how to apply it to the reporting process.
  • Excel, Tableau, and Power BI proficiency.
  • Excellent comprehension of SQL concepts.
  • A strong background in quality assurance procedures and extraction techniques.
  • Knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse processes.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Very good knowledge of data formats.
  • The capacity to create important images that influence management choices and result in tangible improvements in corporate performance and financial comprehension.
  • Present evidence of prior business cooperation with operational and finance teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to mentor young team members and persuade senior stakeholders.
